Coimbatore: Judicial Magistrate Court VI, Kannan convicted actress Saritha Nair, her husband Biju Radhakrishnan and Manager Ravi in the solar panel scandal that took a heavy toll on Kerala. He then sentenced Saritha Nair and Manager Ravi to three years in prison and imposed a fine of Rs. 10,000 each. In the event of failing to pay the fine, the convicts will have to serve an additional term of nine months.

She and her husband Biju Radhakrishnan and Manager Ravi duped Thiyagarajan, Chairman of Thiyagarajan Mills in Coimbatore to the tune of Rs. 28 lakhs and Rs. 5.5 lakhs from Venkataraman and Joyo, members of Sri Appu Babaji Charitable Trust in Ooty for setting up windmills. The case had been registered by the Coimbatore Criminal Branch police.
