Coimbatore: The Young India Foundation met the media at a private hotel in Gandhipuram to announce that it was ready to close unused borewells, free of cost, in Tamil Nadu.
Addressing the media, Vishnuprabhu, the Secretary of the Foundation urged the public to provide information on uncovered borewells by contacting 9150226634 and added that those who inform about uncovered borewells will be given a reward of Rs.2000.
He also said that the project will cover not only Tamil Nadu but also across India, to ensure that the death of 2-year old Sujith Wilson will be the last death caused due to uncovered borewells.
