The Assistant Commissioner of Excise Office in Tirupur is located at room no 129, 130 on the first floor of the Tirupur District Collectorate. Upon receiving repeated complaints that the officials have been receiving bribe from hotels, restaurants and other establishments in the form of gift hampers and cash for Deepavali, the DVAC officials carried out a raid and seized RS. 1,09,280 of cash.
Later, the DVAC sleuths interrogated the Assistant Commissioner of Excise, Jayarani on the matter.
