Dennis, a Maoist activist who arrived at the Adivasi village of Nedungal Kombai near Coonoor last year has been accused of brainwashing Adivasi people with the intention of turning them into activists.
Judge Mulitharan adjourned the hearing to November 22 after which Dennis was taken to the Coimbatore Central jail amidst heavy security.
