Welfare Trusts provide fireworks and sweets to rescued children for Diwali

Coimbatore: The National Child Labour Abolition Scheme was implemented in 1995 to prevent underaged children from being employed.

Coimbatore: The National Child Labour Abolition Scheme was implemented in 1995 to prevent underaged children from being employed. 



Education was provided to these rescued children through NCLP. After having provided education up to Class 8, the Government has also been providing the necessary assistance for the higher education of children rescued after Classes 9 and 10 in schools.



Members of the Bharatha Mata Foundation from Udaiyampalayam provided lunch and celebrated Diwali with 50 rescued children by distributing sweets and fireworks worth Rs.30,000. 



Project Director of Child Labour Abolition, Vijayakumar and members of the Council also distributed fireworks and sweets to the rescued children from Vellalore, Kondi Nagar and Arivoli Nagar area. The joy on the faces of these rescued children from various states including Haryana, Bihar and Tamil Nadu was a sight to behold.
