Two months, ago a wild elephant known as Grober had entered the residential area of Hosur and continuously attacked the public. It was later caught and released into the Mudumalai forest area.
The Grober elephant had now reportedly entered the villages surrounding the Bandipur Tiger Reserve and attacked two civilians. The Karnataka Forest Department then resorted to deploying five Kumki elephants to trap the Grober elephant and are in discussion as to which forest reserve the elephant has to be released into.
