After a short medical leave, Sumail (34) from Valparai was working as Head Constable in Armed Forces here rejoined duty on Tuesday.
While on duty, Sumail suddenly collapsed in the police grounds. The police personnel in the ground rushed her to Coimbatore Government Hospital where she was pronounced brought dead. The doctors suspect cardiac arrest to be the cause of her untimely death.
The Race Course Police station have registered a case and are investigating.
