The Nilgiris : The centenary celebrations of the Communist Party was held on behalf of the Nilgiris District Marxist Communist Party in Ooty on Sunday. Addressing the gathering, Marxist Communist MP TK Rangarajan stressed that only the Communist Party had the ideological power to oppose the anti-democratic action of the BJP.
Central Committee member and MP TK Rangarajan participated as the guest of honour in the event in which hundreds of Communist party members took part. He

"Marxist Communist Party celebrates 100th anniversary of Communist Movement. The rights of the disadvantaged and backward people have been protected, as a result of the several protests carried out by the Communist movement over the last hundred years", said the MP.
He further added, "BJP's caste system is backfiring at India's future. Economic and social policy of BJP is having a major impact on the nation's progress. Among the other parties, the Communist movement is continously working to defend the constitution and secularism of India. The communist movement can unite democratic movements. The effort to move the progressive movement from south to north will begin from this 100th anniversary."
He also opined that, "Small and medium enterprises have been hit hard by the GST measures and demonetisation introduced by the BJP rule. As people's purchasing power has declined, overall all businesses have taken a hit. As part of this centenary year celebration, Marxist Communist Party will strive to rescue people from such economic and social crisis."
MP Rangarajan also slammed the BJP government's one language, one nation, one race and one party policy. However, BJP will never be able to establish their policy. Among the opposition parties, only the leftist party can fight against BJP. We have already begun the process of removing BJP. Only the Marxist Communist party has the power to stand against BJP. BJP will lose across India in the future."
He concluded by saying, "The accounts for the funds given by DMK during elections have been submitted to Income tax. All rumours surrounding the issue is baseless."
