Coimbatore : To raise public awareness on Heroes day which is observed annually on October 21, Coimbatore Police have released a video highlighting the bravery and valiant police officers who sacrificed their lives during duty.
Coimbatore : To raise public awareness on Heroes day which is observed annually on October 21, Coimbatore Police have released a video highlighting the bravery and valiant police officers who sacrificed their lives during duty.
The Police Department paid homage to police officer Rajaratnam who was murdered in 1985 in a robbery case, police officer, Chandrasekaran who was hit by a lorry while trying to chase and nab the lorry that caused an accident in 2011 and police officer Selvaraj who was brutally murdered 1997 by members of a banned organisation.
A street play was held on the 5th of October on behalf of the city Police to raise public awareness of the Heroes Day. The street play was held at Gandhipuram Town Bus Stand, Ukkadam Bus Stand, Singanallur Bus Stand and Sungam Road in Sundarapuram.
The spectacular street play impressed the public and threw light on the strenuous efforts exhibited by the police personnel to safeguard the public during unforeseen events.
The two minute video released portrays the risk involved in police job and how policemen put their life in front of eventualities like natural and man made disasters.
