Faizal, a resident of Tirupur who owns the mobile store reported the incident that took place last night when a youth posing as a customer entered his store and was asking about the prices of a mobile phone. In a matter of seconds, the youth reportedly ran away with a mobile phone worth Rs.8000 along with an accomplice who was waiting outside in a two-wheeler. The employees of the shop tried nabbing the two but the miscreants managed to escape.
The entire incident has been recorded on CCTV and based on the complaint lodged by Faizal, the Tirupur police are conducting an investigation with the CCTV footage as proof.
