Tirupur: The Alumni of Nanjappa Boys High School and social activists petitioned the Tirupur District Collector opposing the district administration's idea of converting the Nanjappa Boys High School playground into a temporary bus stand.
Tirupur: The Alumni of Nanjappa Boys High School and social activists petitioned the Tirupur District Collector opposing the district administration's idea of converting the Nanjappa Boys High School playground into a temporary bus stand.
Ahead of the festive Diwali season, a special fleet of buses will ply from Tirupur to other districts. Due to lack of parking space at the Tirupur old bus stand, the special buses cannot be parked there. Hence, the Tirupur district administration scouted for a temporary bus stand for the special buses and inspected the Nanjappa Boys High School for the same.
On hearing this, the Alumni of the school and social activists immediately objected to this move of the district administration stating that it would cause health issues as well as pose danger for students in the school premises. They petitioned the District Collector to reconsider the decision of using the school grounds as a temporary bus stand.
