Coimbatore : Despite warning from the District Collector to refrain from parking vehicles in an unruly manner at the Collectorate, a few employees who had parked their two-wheelers in a disorderly manner were fined.
Coimbatore : Despite warning from the District Collector to refrain from parking vehicles in an unruly manner at the Collectorate, a few employees who had parked their two-wheelers in a disorderly manner were fined.
A few weeks back, during a review meeting held at the Collectorate
District Collector, K. Rajamani who noticed vehicles parked all over the place warned the employees to park their vehicles in the respective parking lots. He also warned that henceforth, such vehicles will be seized and attract heavy fine.
Following the Collector's order, the parking was done in an orderly manner for the past few days. However, things changed topsy turvy today, as vehicles were seen scattered all over the place.
On behalf of the District Collector, his personal assistant (General) Uma Maheshwari informed the police personnel who seized the vehicles.
The seized vehicles were later handed over to the concerned vehicle owners after warning, and a fine of Rs. 250 for each vehicle was collected as fine.
