NTK petitions Collector to make Tamil name boards compulsory for business enterprises

Coimbatore: Naam Tamilar Katchi (NTK) party cadres petitioned the District Collector at the Public Grievance camp held at the District Collectorate today, demanding action to make Tamil name boards compulsory for business enterprises.

In 1996, the Government of Tamil Nadu had issued an order that all business establishments and shops in Tamil Nadu should have their name boards in Tamil. However, the name boards of many enterprises in the State are currently in English.
