Jaiganesh who hails from Tirupur's Ammapalayam had borrowed money from over ten people at monthly interest to run his dairy farm. He alleged that even after paying over the principal amount, the lenders were still threatening him demanding that he pay the principle amount in full.
Jaiganesh alleged that even after filing a complaint at the Thirumuruganpoondi police station, the lenders were continuing to threaten him by using police influence. Hence, Jaiganesh along with his family decided to lay siege to the Tirupur District Collectorate and submitted a petition seeking protection for him and his family from the money-lenders.
