Coimbatore: Jaganathan, a resident of Sathya Nagar staged a dharna in front of the District Collectorate demanding action against a man who poisoned his goats.
In his petition, Jaganathan has stated that he had been living in Sathya Nagar near PPS College Road in Coimbatore and been a goatherd for nearly 30 years. "In the same area, a few men from a farm near my house poisoned and killed four goats that I had raised. I have lodged a complaint at the Vadavalli police station but the police have not initiated any action, yet. They are now threatening me for filing a complaint. I need protection for my life and I demand appropriate action taken against these men who poisoned my goats," he added.
The police protection force at the Collectorate reassured Jagannathan of action and convinced him to withdraw his protest.
