Coimbatore : To recognise the efforts of the government employees, especially those involved in 24/7 emergency work like government hospital doctors, ambulance drivers, police and fire personnel, the student members of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) honoured them by distributing sweets and letter of appreciation.

Stressing that cleaning job is no less than any other job, the student members fell in the feet of the cleaning staff at GH and sought their blessings.
While working for six days a week is considered to be a laborious task, several government employees of various departments render their selfless efforts seven days a week. Many times such services often go unrecognised. In a bid to motivate and honour such employees, the ABVP student members carried out the task of recognising them.
According to medical experts, recognising people who are into laborious work without taking a break would help them ease stress and mental pressure.
The act of the ABVP student members was highly appreciated by the public who claimed it to be very thoughtful.
