Tahsildar Chandran and Principal of the College, Gunasundarai took part in the rally and explained the instructions to be followed during an earthquake.
The awareness rally comprising of college students began at the college premises this morning covering important areas like old bus stand, post office and police station.
The participants held placards and distributed pamphlets to the public to create awareness.
Revenue officers, teachers, volunteers and students took part in the rally.
