Upon, the directives of the District Collector, a team of flying squadron led by Special Tahsildar Sivakumar, inspected a rice mill in Selvapuram where they found 500 kg of ration rice. The officials confiscated the ration rice and a two-wheeler.
Upon investigation, it was revealed that the ration rice was smuggled from various locations and stored at the rice mill for sale. The confiscated vehicle from the mill has been kept at the District Collectorate.
