Several government employees participated in the protest and raised slogans against the government. Followed by it, they submitted a petition to the District Collector seeking withdrawal of the transfer orders and suspensions made by the government.
They protested against the temporary dismissal on the day of retirement of former head of state employees' union, suspension of State Vice President Karur Subramaniam, TNGA district chief Senthil Kumar, district vice president Muthuraj, circular executives Srinivasan and Ramamurthy were transferred for involving Jactogyo agitation.
The protestors demanded that the government should abandon retaliatory action and withdraw the suspension and transfer of officers.
