Coimbatore: Puratchikara Ilaignar Kazhagam submitted a petition to the CMCH Dean, Asokan urging him to treat Naam Tamilar Katchi President Seeman for mental Illness. The Coimbatore District Secretary, Velmurugan, President Beros Babu spoke to the media saying, "We request the doctors to check Seeman for any mental illness and treat him accordingly."

"His irrational comments threatening colloquial Tamil speakers and questioning the origin of their birth, as well as stating that only 18 lakh people who voted for him are true Tamils, are condemnable. His comment on Telugu Vadugan incites unrest. His fascist views to beat up people who do not speak proper Tamil is outrageous. Just as the Court ordered H Raja to be checked for mental illness, we are stressing that Seeman too should be checked regarding his mental health."
