Coimbatore : A resident of Alamaramedu who bought samosas from a shop at Alamaramedu in Anaikatti, complained to the Superintendent of Police that a false case has been registered against her by the shop owner.
Coimbatore : A resident of Alamaramedu who bought samosas from a shop at Alamaramedu in Anaikatti, complained to the Superintendent of Police that a false case has been registered against her by the shop owner.
In her complaint to the SP, S Jayanthi (46) from Alamaramedu who had bought samosas which were later discovered to be spoilt, stated that while she had not raised any complaint against the shop owner, she had been booked for allegedly extracting money from the shop owner.
“There were no enquiries, yet the police booked a case against me without even considering that I was the one actually affected by the incident,” stated Jayanthi. Jambugandi villagers who accompanied Jayanthi claimed that since she was among the many protesting to shut down the TASMAC outlet in Jambugandi, she has been framed in the case.
Jayanthi and her colleagues had bought samosas from a shop belonging to Noor Mohammed, last Friday. After consuming the samosas, they had reportedly been ill after which they noticed that the samosas they had bought were spoilt.
