Coimbatore : In order to spice up the Wildlife Week Celebrations, the Centre for Urban Biodiversity Conservation and Education (CUBE), has announced its first ever Urban Biodiversity Photography Contest inviting participants from across the country.
Coimbatore : In order to spice up the Wildlife Week Celebrations, the Centre for Urban Biodiversity Conservation and Education (CUBE), has announced its first ever Urban Biodiversity Photography Contest inviting participants from across the country.
According to a CUBE member, the contest has been aimed at creating awareness about urban biodiversity and its importance.
“We hope this initiative will contribute new knowledge in the field of urban biodiversity conservation,” the member said.
As per an announcement from the organisation, only one photograph is allowed per participant. The contest opens on 8th of October and ends on 15th (11 pm) with the winners being announced on 21st of October.
The top three winners will receive a total cash prize of Rs. 20,000. As many 10 pictures would also receive special mention and select photographs would be featured in the special Urban Biodiversity calendar - 2020 by CUBE.
The contest is open only to Indian participants and they have been asked to send their entries as jpeg.files and sRGB mode. The file should be between 2 and 5 MB and should not be more or less.
The submissions should be made to [email protected] with description of the photo and details of the author including his/her date of birth.
