Coimbatore: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister's Special Grievance Camp was held at Sulur Boys High School today (06.10.2019). Minister for Municipal Administration and Rural Development, S.P Velumani chaired the grievance camp.
Coimbatore: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister's Special Grievance Camp was held at Sulur Boys High School today (06.10.2019). Minister for Municipal Administration and Rural Development, S.P Velumani chaired the grievance camp.
Minister S.P Velumani received petitions from around 745 petitioners and provided government welfare assistance worth Rs 4 crores to 551 beneficiaries.
District Collector K.Rajamani IAS, MLAs V.P Kandasamy, Etimadai A.Shanmugam, Kasthuri Vasu, District Revenue Officer Ramadurai Murugan, Project leader of District Rural Development Agency Ruban Sankar Raj, Women Project Officer Selvarasu, Revenue Divisional Officer (South) Dhanalingam and other government officials took part in the camp.
During the camp, Minister S.P Velumani said, “Several bridges, airport expansion, more government arts colleges, primary health centers and other development activities are being carried out in the Coimbatore District that cater to the future needs of our people. Tamil Nadu's Chief Minister has announced various welfare schemes for the benefit of the people. To educate the public about the various welfare schemes that are available for them, it has been decided to conduct an information camp monthly once, chaired by the District Collector and other government officials.
Every Monday, the public grievance day meeting is being held. A special grievance camp is being held for farmers, pensioners and differently-abled, receive petitions on Patta transfer, social protection scheme, Elderly Pension under Chief Minister's Farmers Protection Scheme, Abandoned widows pension, Differently abled pension, Free housing patta, Community Certificate, Income Certificate, Legal Heir Certificate. The CM announced this on 18.07.2019 under 110 rule.
To carry out this scheme effectively Rs 25,000 per division, constituting a total of Rs 75,25,000 is being sanctioned. Following this, with proper notice, the camp is being held as per the date announced by the District Collector. All these petitions will be registered in the computer, and within a week it will be sent to the concerned department, and within one month of the time period, the grievance will be addressed.”
This special grievance camp being held at the Sulur Boys High School is also part of the scheme.
