Coimbatore : Attending the Chief Minister's Special Grievance Camp and Government Welfare Assistance Program at the Puliyagulam Municipal School premises in Coimbatore, Minister S P Velumani stated that the longest bridge in Tamil Nadu which will be 9.5 km long is all set to be constructed on Avinashi Road in Coimbatore, in keeping with world-class standards as seen in Thailand and Bengaluru.
Coimbatore : Attending the Chief Minister's Special Grievance Camp and Government Welfare Assistance Program at the Puliyagulam Municipal School premises in Coimbatore, Minister S P Velumani stated that the longest bridge in Tamil Nadu which will be 9.5 km long is all set to be constructed on Avinashi Road in Coimbatore, in keeping with world-class standards as seen in Thailand and Bengaluru.
The event was attended by prominent personalities including MLA Amman Arjunan and District Collector K Rajamani. Minister S P Velumani in his address emphasized that people must make use of such meetings to resolve their issues. He said even MLA Amman K Arjunan uses this opportunity to always submit a petition. The MLA had earlier requested a women's college in the South Zone and Minister S P Velumani reassured him that he had spoken about it to the Chief Minister.
"We have already received requests for four colleges in Coimbatore district and roads in the city have been widened and work on the bridges is progressing fast.
We have initiated work for metro rail in Coimbatore. For people's entertainment, the Ukkadam Lake too is being turned into a place similar to the Marina beach. We will implement every possible scheme during our tenure," reiterated S P Velumani.
The Minister also received petitions from the public and instructed authorities to take immediate action
