Coimbatore : The Pattali Makkal Katchi youth leader, Anbumani Ramadoss, met with journalists today at the airport to attend a climate change awareness campaign at a private college in Sathyamangalam, Erode district.
"We are raising awareness of climate change and global warming on behalf of the Green Home. We are appealing to the Prime Minister and the Chief Minister for a climate emergency declaration in India," opined Ramadoss. "The Central and State Governments should start taking precautionary measures. Red sand continues to be smuggled from Thadagam in Coimbatore and hence action must be taken against those responsible," he added.
Commenting on the banner culture, Ramadoss stated, "Erecting banners and wall advertising culture is unnecessary. They have asked for exemption for Chinese President's visit, but the Government of Tamil Nadu must refrain from this banner culture."
On the scam of NEET impersonation of students, Ramadoss said, "Over 50 students have secured medical seats through impersonation during NEET. The CBI should investigate this year's and previous year's exams procedures and punish the wrongdoers."
The Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK) and the student wing extended a warm welcome to their leader Anbumani Ramadoss at the airport, and seemed to enjoy clicking 'selfies' with him.
