Tirupur: The Minister for Animal Husbandry, Udumalai Radhakrishnan said that apart from the Animal Medical Mobile Ambulance (AMMA), a free emergency number of 1962 has also been allocated for the quick treatment of livestock.

He opined that this would come in handy for farmers and help them to a great extent. He was participating in the Social Welfare Scheme's 'Thalikku Thangam Scheme' event held at Tirupur and distributed welfare scheme benefits to beneficiaries.
In an interview with the media, Udumalai Radhakrishnan stated that all the schemes introduced by the former CM of Tamil Nadu late Jayalalithaa has been implemented and is now reaching the people in full swing. He assured that the operations of welfare schemes provided to livestock are also monitored.
The meeting was attended by MLAs, District Collector and many others.
