"Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation Ltd. to start Bharat Darshan Trip from Madurai and Trichy:" John Joseph, Deputy Manager

Coimbatore: Addressing the media at the Coimbatore Press Club, the Deputy Manager of Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation Ltd., South Zone, John Joseph announced that the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation Ltd., which is a Government enterprise was going to start the Bharat Darshan trip from Madurai and Trichy.

Coimbatore: Addressing the media at the Coimbatore Press Club, the Deputy Manager of Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation Ltd., South Zone, John Joseph announced that the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation Ltd., which is a Government enterprise was going to start the Bharat Darshan trip from Madurai and Trichy.



"The Bharat Darshan tourist train operating since 2005 has 360 travel plans implemented with it, and the special train that can accommodate 840 passengers in 12 compartments in second class tickets with pantry facility will depart from Madurai on October 12 to Dwaraka. 

The train fare per person for 10 days is Rs. 9450 and transport facilities have been arranged for visiting all religious places for darshan. The train will return to Madurai on October 22," detailed John Joseph. He added that passengers who board from Karur, Erode, Salem, Jolarpet, Katpadi, Chennai, Nellore and Vijayawada could alight at the same stations while returning, since the train will follow the same route on its return trip. 

Another train named Diwali Ganga Sanam will depart from Madurai on October 23 to Varanasi for 9 days, and the train fare is fixed as Rs. 8505. In addition to this, the Muktinath Darshan train that has air condition facility will depart from Trichy on October 19 and will cover places like Ayodhya, Pokhara and Kathmandu for Rs. 53,330 and to Nepal, Lucknow and Kathmandu for Rs 50,600.

John Joseph also stated that a special train will depart from Trichy on November 13 and travel to Kolkata, Guwahati, Shillong and Cherrapunji at a fare of Rs.45,829. He added that all necessary arrangements have been made on behalf of the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation Ltd. and those interested in travelling in these trains will have to register well in advance.
