The Nilgiris: On the occassion of the 150th birth anniversary of Gandhi Jayanti, District Collector J. Innocent Divya presided the Grama Sabha meeting in the tribal village of Nedungal Kombai near Ooty in the Nilgiris.
Over 200 people of Nedungal Kombai tribal village attended the meeting during which over 50 grievance petitions was handed over to the District Collector.
During the discussion, the Collector spoke about facilitating self-employment for women.
"Presently, the district administration has been striving hard to abolish malnourishment in the district and improve cleanliness", addressed the Collector.
The public who attended the Grama Sabha meeting were advised to keep their villages clean.
The District Collector assured immediate redressal on the petitions submitted.
