Coimbatore: An inebriated man driving a luxury car caused a series of accidents in Saravanampatti and injured three passers-by. The injured were rushed to a hospital for treatment, while irate public thrashed the man for his reckless driving.

There have been repeated demands by public to inspect drivers of luxury cars and buses for drunk driving in the same manner that motorists are checked. But the police have allegedly been indifferent which has been instrumental in accidents being caused by such drivers.
Sathish was driving at a high speed near the Prozone Mall in Saravanampatti, with his wife Anusya in the car. He collided with a hospital employee coming from the opposite direction. Following this, Sathish also hit two men riding on a two-wheeler that was going toward Saravanampatti. All the three injured were then rushed to the nearby hospital by the public.
