Coimbatore : The Crime-Branch Crime Investigation Department (CB-CID) has announced a cash prize of Rs.2 lakhs to anyone who shares information on the absconding criminals involved in the 1998 Coimbatore bomb blast case.
Coimbatore : The Crime-Branch Crime Investigation Department (CB-CID) has announced a cash prize of Rs.2 lakhs to anyone who shares information on the absconding criminals involved in the 1998 Coimbatore bomb blast case.
A huge bomb blast was plotted and executed in Coimbatore in 1998 which shocked the entire nation. Over 250 were severely injured in this bomb blast and about 168 accused were arrested.
In the meantime, many accused connected to this case had been released too. However, 16 of the main culprits are serving their jail terms in Coimbatore Central Prison.
But the other main culprits who had plotted the bomb blast like Tailor Raja, Mujpur Rahuman and a few others involved in the Madurai bomb blast like Abubakar Siddiq, Ayuf alias Ashraf Ali are still absconding.

The CB-CID have listed the above four criminals as "Wanted" and have announced a cash prize of Rs.2 lakhs to anyone who can share information about the four wanted criminals. The CB-CID have also assured the public that it would maintain complete secrecy of the details of the informant.
