As walking is regarded to be the best exercise for a healthy heart, more than 2,000 participants took part in the Walkathon to instill awareness among the masses.
The Walkathon started at the Chikkanna Government Arts College in Tirupur and went on for 2.5 km and reached Vanjipalayam via college road.
