Coimbatore: Isha Yoga Center is all set to open its annual nine-day Navaratri celebrations from September 29 onwards. The celebrations will culminate on the 10th day of Vijayadashmi, which falls on October 8.
Coimbatore: Isha Yoga Center is all set to open its annual nine-day Navaratri celebrations from September 29 onwards. The celebrations will culminate on the 10th day of Vijayadashmi, which falls on October 8.
The nine-day festival by Isha will begin with the annual Kalabhairava Shanti performed for the well-being of departed souls, on the auspicious night of Mahalaya Amavasya, a release from Isha said.
"The public can participate in traditional celebrations at the Linga Bhairavi temple. The nine-day festivities will also include the annual cultural extravaganza at the Suryakund Mandapam in the Yoga Center. The cultural programs are free and open to public and will be held every day between 6:45 p.m. and 7:45 p.m. It will include an offering of Annadanam for the audience", a release noted.
Special Celebrations at Linga Bhairavi include Kumkum Abhishekam from September 29 - October 1 considered as Durga Days, October 2-4 considered as Lakshmi Days will have Haridram Abhishekam, October 5-7 considered as Saraswati Days will have Chandan Abhishekam, and Vikakku Pooja on October 6 and September 29, October 2 & 6: Linga Bhairavi Procession will be celebrated, the release further noted.
