The Nilgiris: The passing out parade and oathtaking ceremony of 300 young army officials of the Madras Regiment Centre was held with pomp and valor at the Wellington Cantonment, Coonoor on Saturday.
Cadets from Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala and Andhra undergo training at the noted Wellington Cantonment in Coonoor.
After rigorous training of 46 weeks, the 300 young army officials took oath to serve the nation. The majestic parade along with the band highly impressed the spectators.
Major General N.S Raja Subramani received the honourary march and distributed certificates for the best performing army officials during the training.
Following this ceremony, the army officials will be assigned posting to their respective battalions.
The family members of the officials also graced the occassion.
