Following the incident where a student named Udit Surya was pulled up for impersonating in the NEET exam in Theni, the Directorate of Medical Colleges has issued an order to all medical colleges in the State to verify the documents of the students. As a result, two students in PSG Medical College were suspected to have also impersonated in their NEET exams since their photographs did not match.
The petition by the the cadres of Dravidar Viduthalai Kazhagam stated that the transparent verification of the documents of students who had cleared NEET exam and enrolled in colleges should be conducted in the presence of journalists, educators and social activists.
