World Tourism Day is celebrated every year on September 27th to celebrate travel and the enriching experiences that come through travelling to various countries and meeting people from varied culture.
As a part of the celebration, Hindusthan Arts and Science college students from the Catering department along with Coimbatore Travels Association went on rally wearing costumes that depicted various cultures across the world on this World Tourism Day. Over 100 students participated in the rally holding placards creating awareness on travel.
Over 20 students dressed like the natives of Tamil, Punjab and international cultures like Egyptians, Mongolians and Chinese. This attracted the onlookers and passers-by in the area.
