Hosiery unit owner hangs himself to death over business loss

Tirupur: A hosiery unit owner hanged himself to death in his Tirupur office owing to grave financial loss in his business on account of the declining industry in the recent past.

Tirupur: A hosiery unit owner hanged himself to death in his Tirupur office owing to grave financial loss in his business on account of the declining industry in the recent past.

Kaja Hussain (34) from Kombai Thottam Tirupur owns a small-scale hosiery unit in Valliammai Nagar in Tirupur. On account of demonetisation and GST, his business had reportedly suffered a huge loss and he had to resort to to operating his company on lease. Since he did not receive enough orders and the business loans had piled up, Kaja Hussain took the extreme step of ending his life by hanging himself to death in his office at Valliammai Nagar on Wednesday. 

Residents near his office, spotted Kaja Hussain's body this morning and immediately informed the police. The police reached the spot, retrieved the body and sent it for post mortem. The police have registered a case and investigations are on.
