Coimbatore : Following the incident where a student was subjected to action for impersonating in the NEET exam in Theni, two students from the PSG Medical College are suspected of impersonating in their NEET exam since it was found that the photographs did not match.
Coimbatore : Following the incident where a student was subjected to action for impersonating in the NEET exam in Theni, two students from the PSG Medical College are suspected of impersonating in their NEET exam since it was found that the photographs did not match.
A complaint was raised in Theni that a student named Udit Surya had joined the medical college after impersonating in the NEET exam. After various stages of investigation, it was confirmed that he had indeed impersonated just to enrol into the medical college which caused an uproar in the country.
Following this, the Directorate of Medical Colleges had ordered all medical colleges in the State to verify all the documents of students. When student documents were verified at the PSG Medical College, it was found out that the photos of two students, one of a male student and the other of a female student were not matching.
The college administration which investigated the incident immediately informed the Medical College Directorate. Following this, the Directorate of Medical Colleges is conducting a thorough investigation.
Ramalingam, Principal of PSG Medical College said, "The suspicion arose because the photos of two students were different. We reported this to the Directorate of Medical College but not as a complaint. The selection committee should explain the issue, and the Government has to take action on the issue."
