49-year old CMCH doctor dies of cardiac arrest while on duty

Coimbatore : In a tragic incident, a doctor working in Coimbatore Medical College Hospital (CMCH) suddenly collapsed and died of cardiac arrest, while on duty at the hospital.


Coimbatore : In a tragic incident, a doctor working in Coimbatore Medical College Hospital (CMCH) suddenly collapsed and died of cardiac arrest, while on duty at the hospital. 

Palanisamy (49), a resident of Saibaba Colony in Coimbatore had been working as a physiotherapist for the past four years at the Government Medical College Hospital in the city. 

Palanisamy came to the hospital for work as usual, today and while walking in the hospital premises, he reportedly fainted and collapsed to the ground. Onlookers rushed him to the intensive care unit in the hospital where he was declared brought dead. The cause of his death is said to be cardiac arrest. 

The CMCH team and people in the hospital were shocked and saddened at Palanisamy's sudden tragic demise.
