Earlier, Vijayakarthikeyan held post as the Director of Tamil Nadu Institute of Urban Studies and has been transferred and posted as the Collector of Tirupur district, replacing K S Palanisamy, who is now posted as Director of Rural Development and Panchayat Raj.
Addresing the media after resuming charge, K.Vijayakarthikeyan promised to work earnestly to ensure all welfare schemes announced by the Tamil Nadu government reaches the people. He also assured that his office would be open at all times for the public to register grievances.
It may be recalled that Dr. K. Vijayakarthikeyan is an IAS officer from the 2011 batch who served as Coimbatore’s Corporation Commissioner between 2014 and February 2019. He took additional charge as the Corporation’s Special Officer in 2016.
