The Nilgiris : The parents of a 5-year-old child had lodged a complaint in Coonoor Police Station on Monday, accusing the school teacher of Kings Kids (Nursery & Primary) School in Coonoor for hitting their child and causing injury to his ears.

Shagin (5) son of Sadiq, hails from Raleigh Compound in Coonoor. It is alleged that at school today, his class teacher Wendy had hit him.
While his teacher was distributing pencils to the students and asking them to return the pencils back carefully, Shagin reported that his pencil was already broken. This reportedly angered Wendy and she hit him causing his ears to bleed.
Shagin returned home and complained of ear pain to his parents and narrated the incident at school. His parents immediately took him to Coonoor Government Hospital, where he has been admitted. Thereafter, the child was shifted to Coimbatore GH for further treatment.
The parents have lodged a police complaint against the teacher Wendy, and the school management of Kings Kids (Nursery & Primary) is said to have suspended her.
The Coonoor police are investigating the case.
