Tirupur : 24 students were injured when a Government bus and a Navarasam Arts & Science College for Women bus collided. Two of the students who were grievously injured have been sent CMCH for intensive medical care. The Navarasam Arts & Science College for Women bus from Dharapuram collided into the Government bus that was headed toward Kambam, when the college bus driver tried to get across the road without exercising caution.

24 students in the college bus who were injured were sent to the Dharapuram Government Hospital by the public in an ambulance. Two students, Kiruthika (18) and Priya (19) who were grievously injured were sent to CMCH for intensive medical care.
The Gundadam police are investigating the accident which was reportedly caused by the carelessness of the Navarasam Arts & Science College for Women bus driver.
