Irate kins lay siege to CMCH demanding justice for the ‘suspicious death’ of youth

Coimbatore: Irate Kins of a youth whose body was recovered from Vaalankulam under mysterious circumstances staged a dharna in front of Coimbatore Medical College Hospital demanding that the police file a case of murder against the perpetrators.

Sanjeevi (23) son of Govinda Rajan hails from Sowripalayam in Coimbatore. He was working in Jeyam Automobiles for the past two years.

Similarly, Sanjeevi had met with an accident in 2018 and he blamed the company and workload as the cause of the accident.

Following the development, Sanjeevi was dismissed from the private automobile company. However, on September 20, Sanjeevi and his mother Arul Mozhi had approached the company management regarding his job. But the persons in management had refused to meet them.

Later Sanjeevi sent his mother home saying that he would meet the manager and return home. But, Sanjeevi who had called up home at about 11 pm told his mother that he would reach home soon. 

However, Sanjeevi's parents lodged a complaint at Singanallur police station on the September 21st since he didn't return home.

As the police continued to investigate the missing case Sanjeevi’s body was found floating in Vaalankulam yesterday. 



Race Course police registered a case, retrieved the body and sent to the mortuary in CMCH.

Alleging that there is mystery behind Sanjeevi’s disappearance and death the kin of the deceased who siege to the mortuary and demanded the police to register a murder case.



The police pacified the relatives saying a case will be registered after the autopsy report is released following which the irate kins gave up the siege.
