The Nilgiris: The Court Road in Coonoor, a busy arterial road which is in utter neglect has been renovated by the Police department officials joining hands with Exnora International, a leading civic movement.
The court roadhouses the post office, sub-treasury, sub registrar’s office, Police Station, Taluk office and other such offices. However, the badly damaged road has become a death trap for motorists as many accidents continue to take place in this stretch.

Due to the delay in the commencement of renovation work by Coonoor Municipality, the police department officials along with Nilgiris Exnora pulled up their socks and got down to work to renovate the badly damaged road.

A team of police officials led by Inspector Ammu Durai, and Special Police Inspectors Viswanathan, Ravi, Krishnamurthy and a team led by District President of Exnora Movement Kannan, comprising Secretary Ramakrishnan and All Traders Association President Liaquat Ali and others took part in the road renovation task.
The public has appealed to Coonoor Municipal Administration to renovate road in a full-fledged manner at least now.
