Vivekananda Gurukulam School is functioning under the name of Anbu Illam at Thirumurugapoondi, near Avinashi.
The school conducts classes for 6th to 10th grades and has more than 60 boys as residential students. The kin and parents complained to the Tirupur District Child Welfare Committee about the founder Rajasekar's abuse and misconduct toward students.
The officials conducted a raid in the school premises and shifted all the 62 students to a safer place.
As per the complaints lodged on behalf of the District Child Welfare Committee, Perumanallur police have arrested Rajasekhar under the POCSO Act and are investigating.
