Tirupur : Protesting against the poor garbage disposal mechanism, the cadres from the Makkal Pathukaapu Iyakkam stormed the Corporation office with bags of garbage
The protesters alleged that the Tiruppur Corporation has not been diligent in garbage disposal due to which diseases have been spreading in many wards and areas.
There are 60 wards coming under the Tiruppur Corporation Even though complaints have poured in about the irregular garbage disposal mechanism, no improvement has been witnessed in recent months.
As a last resort and to capture the attention of apathetic Corporation officials the Makkal Pathukaapu Iyakkam cadres resorted to the novel protest.
They alleged that “there have been several complaints raised with the corporation officials but they have not heeded to the requests to clean up the pathetic and unclean condition prevailing in many of the wards.
