The Nilgiris : Addressing the DMK Youth wing membership drive meeting held at Coonoor on Sunday, DMK youth wing secretary and Actor Udhayanidhi Stalin thanked the cadres for abiding by DMK Chief Stalin’s orders and not erecting any banners and festoons to welcome him during his visit.
He also urged the cadres not to celebrate his arrival by bursting crackers and lauding him as 'Illaiya Thalapathi'.
Instead, he requested the cadres to stay focused and work hard to achieve success in the ensuing 2021 assembly elections.
While speaking on the occasion Udayanidhi Stalin said that a target has been set to enrol 30 lakh members in the youth wing in the next two months.
Slamming the ruling AIADMK government he said the present dispensation is unfit to rule the state and the ensuing elections would witness the DMK assuming power and Stalin would be elected as CM.
Only recently, the DMK youth wing has brought in changes in age limit to be a member of the wing. While the minimum age has been revised to 18 years from the earlier 15, the maximum age to remain a member of the wing has been increased to 35, from the previous 30 years.
