The Avinashilingam Institute for Home Science and Higher Education for Women inaugurated the Avalon Management Association of the Department of Business Administration, on Thursday.

The Avalon Association was inaugurated by Radha Mohanprasad, Managing Director of VGM Hospital. Along with the Avalon Association, two other student associations - CMA Students Chapter and Community Social Service Theme were also launched.
Speaking at the inauguration, Radha Mohanprasad praised Avinashilingam for this innovative initiative and urged students to develop soft skills. "Being an employer, we look for candidates with soft skills. There are many students who are very good in their academics but lack soft skills to pursue their career," she added. "Women are more innovative than men," she opined and advised students to learn to make a difference in the place they work, be passionate and take pride in their work.
Deepa Mohanraj who inaugurated the CMA Students Chapter stated, "Women should learn to be happy with what they have. Be grateful for what you are today and cherish every little thing in your life for this will make a difference in your life."
The Community Social Service Theme was launched by Reni Auxiliya, Co-founder of Momade Cuisine and Playworkz reworking space. "Nothing gives you more happiness than giving to people who cannot give back to you," she stated, encouraging students while speaking on the topic 'Joy of Giving.'
Following the inauguration, elected office-bearers of the Association were honoured by the Chief Guest and prizes were awarded to the winners of the competitions conducted by CADD Centre on 'Driving Digital Design.'
