Various development tasks are being carried out in Tirupur as per the Smart City Plan. As part of these development tasks, the Thennampalayam Uzhavar Sandhai located on Tirupur-Palladam road is to be relocated to another place.
As this market acts as a central place for farmers from other areas of the district, members of Katchi Sarbatra Tamizhaga Vivasayigal Sangam and Yermunai Elaingar Aniyinar petitioned the District Collector by setting up a marketplace at the District Collectorate premises.
