Hundreds of cadres gathered at South Thasildhar office here on Wednesday to register their disapproval against the decision to introduce board exams for students of 5 and 8 grade.

The protest was headed by TPDK General Secretary K. Ramakrishnan. The protestors raised slogans to revoke the board exams for 5th and 8th grades and condemned the government for interfering in the right of education for all.
While addressing the press, K. Ramakrishnan said, "The announcement of board exams for classes 5 and 8 should be revoked with immediate effect. While NEET has already questioned the aspirations of the students, the board exams for class 5 and 8 in yet another burden for the students."

The board exams will cause mental agony to the students and thus result in low attendance at school, he added.
