“It is as outrageous as tying a big boulder in the tail of a dragonfly, as to ask it to fly” said actor and MNM President Kamal Hasan comparing it to 10-year-olds compelled to sit for Board exams which are being put into practice in Tamilnadu for 5th and 8th grades.
Taking to social media, Kamal Hasan said that “it would be a burdensome exercise for the young learners to sit for the exams and it will lead to marks and grades ending up as the “most obvious divisive factor” more than caste and religious barriers”.
Kamal Hasan said that whole experience would be stressful for the students, and added that the parents and their wards would be gripped with fear psychosis if public exams are introduced at the primary and secondary level for 5th and 8th classes.
“Many low scoring students might get affected by low esteem and end up as wrecks, thinking of themselves as misfits in society” Kamal Hasan opined.
“The Board exams would be a great divisive factor among low scoring and high scoring students in the future” the actor turned politician warned.
